QUILL AGM moved to fall of the year

The Annual General Meeting for the QUILL Learning Network will be held Friday, October 24, 2008. It will be an all day event that will include pertinent training for member agencies as well as the AGM and lunch. The location is still to be decided.

The Board of Directors for QUILL made this decision to allow for more preparation time. A new auditor has been hired, and having the AGM in the fall will allow her time to become familiar with the books without being rushed. Also, with the fourth quarter funding that has been given from the Ministry, there is a great deal of work going on with projects that have been undertaken. More information on those will be coming later. Suffice to say, spring is a busy time, and since many of our member programs don’t operate during the summer, a fall training session just makes more sense.
