Rights of Members

  • Members have the right to attend, speak and vote at all general meetings. They have the right to be elected to the board
  • If unable to attend a meeting, members have the right to submit one proxy vote each, to be used for voting at all general meetings and for the election of the board members
  • Members will be informed in writing of all general meetings at least 21 days prior to the meeting
  • Members will receive copies of the minutes of all general meetings

Opportunities for Members

Members are invited to:

  • Attend, when possible, all general meetings of the network
  • Share ideas with and support members in their delivery of literacy programs
  • Bring issues of importance and perceived needs in the literacy field back to network for distribution to the literacy community
  • Provide input and feedback as required about issues in the literacy field, in the community and for the support of the network
  • Put forward names of individuals to sit on one of the standing or nominating committees of the network
